Wild Roots Farm Immersion
Do you want to connect to your resources by experiencing life on a farm? We invite you to come grow in the beautiful Catskill Mountains for a week long farm immersion.
What does the farm immersion include?
Work on the farm varies depending on weather and season. It can include planting, weeding, harvesting, foraging wild herbs and food, making herbal tinctures, infusions and salves, picking berries, drying herbs, mulching the garden, animal husbandry and rotational grazing, wood fired bake oven meals, spinning and dying wool fibers.
Your schedule would consist of working with Amy for 2 hours in the morning or afternoon. Limited to 4 people per week. We will be prepping lunch and dinner meals together.
Current Dates And Schedule:
Sunday, July 7 - Friday July 12th
Sunday, August 4 - Friday, August 9
Sunday, September 8 - Friday, September 13.
Arrive by 3:00 pm on Sunday to get settled, get to know the farm, and cook in outdoor wood fired oven.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, are full work intensive days. See website for details
Friday morning we will complete our projects, pack up, have a celebration wood fired lunch and closing. Plan to leave no earlier than 2:00pm
Farm intensive participants would get to stay in one of our small off the grid cabins in the woods which sleeps 1 or 2 people.
This intensive provides plenty of time for reflection and journaling, hands in the soil, meditation and breathing, art, connection to food, learning about sustainability on a new level and being in nature enjoying life on a Catskill farm.
Amy is a certified Transformational Breath® Facilitator so you will have the opportunity to receive one Transformational breath session and set an intention for the week.
